Game Deadlines

The Game begins with the first game on March 30, 2008, and ends after the last game, estimated to be September 28, 2008. Any games played before March 30 or after September 28 do NOT count towards your weekly or season-to-date totals. The Game consists of 26 weekly periods ("Game Week 1 ", "Game Week 2", etc., collectively "Game Weeks"), divided into 2 half seasons ("First half game" and "Second Half game").
During the week a roster may be edited daily up to 11:59 pm ET on Sunday night, and any trade goes into effect for the following Game Week. Once a weekly roster becomes final (at 11:59pm ET on Sunday) it cannot be changed again for that Game Week and a roster must be full (12 players) in order to score points for the Game Week. Rosters with empty positions after the trading deadline for the Game Week will be labeled as inactive and will not score points for the Game Week.

Scoring

Scoring is awarded based on the scoring system below:
Hitters' Points
Single 1
Double 2
Triple 3
Home Run 4
RBI 1
Run Scored 1
Walk 1
Stolen Base 1
Hit By Pitch 1
Pitchers' Points
Win 10
Save 5
Inning Pitched 1
Strikeout 1
Complete Game 5
Complete Game Shutout 5
No Hitter 20
Perfect Game 30
Scoring is calculated weekly and is based on the total (not average) number of points each player earns in a week. Game weeks run Monday through Sunday (except for Game Week 1 which runs Sunday to Sunday). Scoring is based only on the games actually played each day. If, for any reason, a player's game is postponed (due to weather, etc.) you will only receive points for that game if you have the player on your roster the day the game is officially completed. Statistics for games that are postponed will be counted in the weeks when the games are actually played.

Trading Players

During the week a roster may be edited daily up to 11:59 pm ET on Sunday night, and any trade goes into effect for the following Game Week. Once a weekly roster becomes final (at 11:59pm ET on Sunday) it cannot be changed again for that Game Week and a roster must be full (12 players) in order to score points for the Game Week. Rosters with empty positions after the trading deadline for the Game Week will be labeled as inactive and will not score points for the Game Week.
All player trades must be made online. Phone trades are not accepted. A player may be traded for another player at the same position. The contestant must remain at or under their current salary cap after all trades are made.
